The City Council wants all who live and work in the Model City to enjoy a safe and healthy environment that is clean, well maintained and visually beautiful. By focusing on litter prevention, recycling, source reduction, and beautification, the City works to improve the quality of life in Commerce and address health and livability issues of residents and businesses.

Graffiti Removal Program

To report existing graffiti, call our 24-hour recorded graffiti hot line at (323) 887-4444 to leave a message with the address and description of the graffiti. The graffiti crew will promptly photograph the damages and paint over or remove it.

Annual Spring Clean-Up

Residents can get rid of unwanted bulky items such as furniture, appliances, toys, weeds, and green waste and tree branches during the Code Enforcement Division’s Annual Spring Clean Up. If you have any questions, please call the Code Enforcement Division at (323) 722-4805, ext. 2293.

Housing Rehabilitation Program

This program offers loans for exterior and interior home improvements to qualified lower income homeowners within the City of Commerce. For information contact the Public Works and Development Services Department at (323) 722-4805 ext. 2810.

Keep California Beautiful

A nonprofit organization, Keep California Beautiful works with multiple program partners on public education and outreach campaigns aimed at making California the cleanest state in the nation! They support thousands of cleanup and beautification events across the state by donating resources and supplies such as garbage bags, seed packets, and recycling and trash receptacles.
