The overall purpose of the Education Commission is to advise the City Council in the direction, encouragement and support of the opportunities for education, self-improvement, and lifelong learning within the City of Commerce.
The Education Commission meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 5655 Jillson Street.
Mission Statement
We, the Education Commission, value a culture that focuses on enhancing the educational opportunities for all lifelong learners’ strengths and relationships. We strive to cultivate ideas while working in collaboration with public/private educational and governmental institutions. We commit to continually refining our efforts to enhance educational equity and high expectations for all.
