The overall purpose of the Measure AA Advisory Committee is to review and report on the receipt of revenue and expenditure of funds from the tax and to make recommendations to the City Council for use of the tax revenue.

On August 6, 2012, the Council approved and adopted Resolution No. 12-84, declaring a state of fiscal emergency for the placement of a general tax measure before the voters of Commerce. On November 6, 2012, the Ordinance, approved by the majority vote, enacted a One-half of One Percent (1/2%) Transactions and Use (Sales) Tax to Fund General Municipal Services.

Meetings

The Measure AA Advisory Commission meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Services Conference Room, 2535 Commerce Way.
