Household Hazardous Waste Includes the following:

• Brake fluid, anti-freeze, motor oil and filters
• Paint, paint thinner
• Cleaners with acid or lye
• Pesticides or herbicides
• Household and car batteries
• Pool chemicals
• Fluorescent light bulbs
• Expired medicine
• Home-generated sharps waste 

How to prepare items for transportation:

• Transport items in a sturdy box, preferably in their original labeled containers.
• Do not mix the items together.
• Be prepared to leave your containers and boxes.

 

Paintcare

Recycle with PaintCare, a non-profit organization established to set up more places for people to take unwanted, leftover paint. Find a Drop-Off Site at a location near you. If you have a large amount of unwanted paint, Paintcare offers a free pick-up service to households or businesses with at least 200 gallons of paint. Call PaintCare at (855) 724-6809 or fill out and submit the Large Volume Pick-Up Request Form.

S.A.F.E. Collection Centers

The S.A.F.E. Centers provide a convenient way to dispose of your e-waste, used motor oil, and household hazardous waste (HHW) properly. View the S.A.F.E. Center flyer for a location near you.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ALL S.A.F.E. CENTERS WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE DO NOT PLACE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IN THE TRASH OR LEAVE THEM OUTSIDE OF THE S.A.F.E. CENTERS.
