Public Access Computer Agreement

Wireless Access

CITY OF COMMERCE PUBLIC LIBRARY WIRELESS ACCESS USER AGREEMENT

The City of Commerce Public Library offers free wireless access to the Internet for any user with a wireless enabled laptop. The Libraries are currently supporting the 802.11a, b and g standards for maximum compatibility with public wireless devices. This wireless Internet access is a privilege offered by the library under the same Public Access Computer Agreement that governs computer use in any City of Commerce Library. Unacceptable use of a personal laptop computer may result in the suspension or revocation of this privilege. The City of Commerce Public Library reserves the right to regulate material accessed from the Internet in the library. The use of the Library's wireless access indicates an agreement with the following Library Internet policies:

• Users must refrain from illegal use of the Internet and respect copyright law.
• Personal workstations may not be used for any direct commercial purpose.
• Obscene graphic materials are prohibited from being displayed, printed or downloaded.

Due to the variety of hardware available, the library staff cannot help in installation or setup of wireless equipment on any given laptop.
