The Transportation Department provides safe, reliable, convenient and cost-effective transit services, with a skilled team of employees who are dedicated to meeting the needs of our community and providing excellent customer service.
The City's transit system consists of the following bus routes and commuter shuttle:
There is no transit service on the following City-recognized holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
All transportation services are free of charge.
Excursion trips are provided to City-recognized civic and service organizations only.

Please contact the Transportation Department to request a modification in the department’s policies and practices applicable to its transportation services. (1) Individuals requesting modifications shall describe what they need in order to use the service. (2) Individuals requesting modifications are not required to use the term ‘reasonable modification’ when making a request. (3) Whenever feasible, requests for modifications shall be made and determined in advance, before the Transportation Department is expected to provide the modified service, for example, during the para-transit eligibility process, through customer service inquiries, or through the entity’s complaint process.
The City has provided a form for prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging any action that would be prohibited by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Complaints of alleged noncompliance should be sent in writing to Claude McFerguson, Director of Transportation, 5555 Jillson St., Commerce, CA 90040.
DBE Goal Analysis Report
Notice is hereby given, that the City of Commerce - Transportation Department (CTD), has established a Proposed Overall Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal of 4.7%, for Federal Fiscal Years 2019-21. The DBE Goal is applicable to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)/Federal Transit Administration (FTA) assisted contracting opportunities scheduled to be awarded during the period of October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2021.
