City Adopts Face Covering Policy

In accordance with LA County Public Health advice and guidelines, which also apply to the City of Commerce, the City Council recently adopted a resolution mandating the use of non-medical face coverings for all essential workers in the City of Commerce. The City is also strongly recommending residents use face coverings while out in public, particularly when in proximity to individuals that aren’t members of their family/household.

You MUST wear a face covering:
-Inside essential businesses (grocery stores, banks, etc)
-when around people not in your household
-at work, when interacting with others
-on public transportation

You do NOT need to wear one:
-in your car or backyard
-while taking a walk/run

We understand these are difficult times and some may consider it an inconvenience, but these measures are taken in the best interest of our collective public health.
